Lisa Stinner-Kun is a photographic artist and educator. Her artwork is concerned with the photographic reconstruction of the human-built world. Since graduating with her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Stinner-Kun has shown her work in exhibitions nationally and internationally. Notable recent artistic endeavours include: an upcoming solo exhibition at the Centre for Cultural and Artistic Practices (C-Cap) in March 2025, having her Construct series featured in Medium Format Magazine this past year, and serving on the jury for Canadian Architect magazine’s “Awards of Excellence 2024”, of which she is a two-time recipient (2020 and 22). The Canada Council for the Arts, Manitoba Arts Council and Winnipeg Arts Council have supported the creation of her most recent project Mid-Century Modest. Stinner-Kun is a frequent instructor at both Martha Street Studio and the University of Manitoba’s School of Art, where she received her BFA.
